Dr. Christoph Mickel

Founder and managing director of ATHLYZER · Sports scientist

Christoph Mickel holds a doctorate in sports science and is managing director of ATHLYZER GmbH, which he co-founded in 2017 as a spin-off of TU Darmstadt.

He completed his doctorate on movement variability at Goethe University Frankfurt in 2014 and worked as a research associate in the Department of Movement and Training Science from 2010 to 2019. A DFG research fellowship took him to the Université Libre de Bruxelles. In practice he worked in performance diagnostics at Eintracht Frankfurt and SV Darmstadt 98. As a former goalkeeper in the hockey Bundesliga, he also knows video analysis from the player's side.
