Video analysis that really moves teams forward
ATHLYZER is video analysis software for coaches and analysts in team sports. Founded in 2017 as a spin-off of TU Darmstadt and developed by sports scientists who have coached and played themselves.
From research to the sideline
ATHLYZER was founded in July 2017 as a spin-off of the Technical University of Darmstadt. An EXIST start-up grant made the launch possible, supported by HIGHEST, the university's start-up centre. Dr. Christoph Mickel founded the company together with sports scientists and computer scientists Dr. Gerrit Kollegger and Janos Koschwitz. Today Christoph Mickel leads ATHLYZER as managing director.
The idea came from a simple observation: in elite sport, video analysis has long been standard. Beyond that level it is rarely used, because software and hardware seem too expensive and too complicated. ATHLYZER set out to change that, as a tool built by coaches for coaches that works on any device without training.

At home in hockey
Hockey is where we come from: our founder played as a goalkeeper in the Bundesliga. Today many hockey clubs in Germany work with ATHLYZER, and we partner with the Bavarian Hockey Association.
